RootStock Festival Returns to Bingen for Its Second Annual Celebration of Sustainable Living
There’s something special about gathering together to learn, create, share stories, and reconnect with the things that matter most. This June, the Columbia River Gorge community will have the chance to do just that as the 2nd Annual RootStock Festival returns to Daubenspeck Park in Bingen, Washington.
Taking place June 19-21, 2026, RootStock Festival, put on by Hidden Gem Events, is a weekend dedicated to gardening, homesteading, sustainability, craftsmanship, and community. Located just off Highway 14 in the heart of Bingen, the festival invites visitors of all ages to slow down, get inspired, and experience a more grounded way of living.
A Weekend of Learning and Connection
RootStock Festival is built around sharing practical skills and knowledge that can be used in everyday life. Whether you’re an experienced gardener, aspiring homesteader, or simply curious about sustainable living, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to learn.
Classes & Workshops
Roll up your sleeves and learn by doing. From gardening techniques and food preservation to homesteading skills and hands-on demonstrations, RootStock’s workshops are designed for real life. These interactive sessions offer practical knowledge that attendees can take home and put into practice right away.
Talks from Knowledgeable Speakers
Hear from people who have spent years learning, growing, building, and living the skills they teach. RootStock’s speakers share honest stories, practical advice, and valuable wisdom that can help inspire a more intentional and sustainable lifestyle.
Vendors, Food & Local Makers
RootStock Festival is also a celebration of the incredible people who grow, make, bake, and create throughout the Columbia River Gorge.
Spend time exploring a vibrant marketplace filled with local artisans, farmers, bakers, and makers offering handcrafted goods, fresh produce, specialty foods, homegrown products, artwork, and unique treasures. It’s the perfect place to discover something special while supporting local businesses and creators.
Come hungry. Food trucks and food vendors will be serving up delicious meals, snacks, and sweet treats all weekend long. Whether you’re grabbing lunch between workshops, enjoying dinner while listening to live music, or treating yourself to something sweet, there will be plenty of options to satisfy every appetite.
Fun for the Whole Family
RootStock isn’t just about learning. It’s about creating memories together.
Family Games
Enjoy simple, old-fashioned fun for all ages. Family games throughout the weekend encourage participation, laughter, and connection, creating the kind of moments that stick with you long after the festival ends.
Live Music
Gather with friends and neighbors as live music fills the air. Throughout the festival, local musicians will provide the soundtrack to a weekend filled with community spirit, good company, and plenty of opportunities to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
